Itinaas ng gobyerno sa ₱58 bilyong pisong ang Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients (MAIP) ngayong taon.
Ayon sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM), ito ay mas mataas ng 78% mula sa 32.6 billion pesos na alokasyon noong 2023.
Ang MAIP ay magagamit sa hospitalization, medical support, pambili ng gamot, at professional fees ng mga indigent at financially incapacitated patients.
Saklaw nito ang lahat ng Department of Health (DOH) Hospitals, Specialty Hospitals, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Local Government Units (LGU) at iba pang public at private health facilities.
