Inanunsyo ng Supreme Court (SC) ang pagsasagawa ng oral arguments sa petisyon na kumukwestyon sa legalidad ng Republic Act no. 11954 o The Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) Act of 2023.
Itinakda ng Kataas-taasang Hukuman ang oral arguments sa April 22, 2025, sa SC Baguio Compound.
Sa kanilang petisyon, humirit sina Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel, Bayan Muna Chairperson Neri Colmenares at Dating Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Zarate at Ferdinand Gaite, ng temporary restraining order at writ of preliminary injunction laban sa MIF.
Tinukoy na respondents sa petisyon ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Land Bank of the Philippines, at Development Bank of the Philippines.
Magsasagawa rin ang Korte Suprema ng oral arguments sa petisyon na kumukwestyon sa legalidad ng Republic Act no. 12116 o The General Appropriations Act (GAA) of Fiscal Year 2025.
Iginiit ng mga petitioner, sa pangunguna ni Victor Rodriguez, na unconstitutional ang GAA dahil sa kabiguang maglaan ng mandatory funding sa PhilHealth, at pag-allocate ng pinakamataas na budget sa imprastraktura kaysa sa edukasyon.
Tinukoy din ng petitioners ang mga blangkong item sa Bicameral Committee Report sa General Appropriations Bill.
Sa Baguio City din isasagawa ang oral arguments, sa April 1, 2025.
